Catherine Burks-Brooks, a courageous activist who helped end segregation in America, has died at 83. Burks was a Freedom Rider who boarded a bus in 1961 in Nashville to join the fight against segregation in Birmingham. Sunday TODAY’s Willie Geist remembers a life well lived.
